Keyshia Cole fans rejoice, as the R&B singer revealed new music is on the way during a recent show.

According to HipHopDX, the 42-year-old made the announcement while sharing gratitude for her fans and her late mother, Frankie Lons, as she performed in Los Angeles Saturday night (March 30).

“I wanna say I appreciate you. If you ever bought an album,” she shared emotionally.

“Album eight right now on the way. I wanna give a shout-out to my mom Frankie. If you watched the reality show, if you watched her…I just wanna say thank you. You helped change my life. Thank you.”

In the 2023 biopic Keyshia Cole: This Is My Story, starring the singer herself, she explored the relationship dynamic between her and her mother, and how it impacted her journey as a musician.

The Oakland, Calif. native’s last album was 2017’s  11:11 Reset. On its release, the new, unnamed work will be her first full-length project since her mother passed away in July 2021 due to an accidental overdose.

“It’s significant to the ‘Angel Number.’ 11:11 represents being aligned spiritually with your destiny. It’s pretty much like the saying, ‘everything happens for a reason,’ and you know, to just appreciate where you’re at in that moment,” explained the chart-topping singer to VIBE at the time.

“Sometimes when you see [11:11] you’re supposed to pay attention to what you’re thinking at that time and what your focus is. I found out that I was born at 11:11 after I named the album that.”
