Kelly Clarkson got very personal on her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, while discussing women's reproductive rights with Hillary Clinton, revealing her difficult hospitalizations while pregnant with her two kids.

During the episode on Monday, April 15, the two women were talking about the abortion ban reinstated in Arizona recently and Clarkson mentioned her own pregnancy experiences.

"I have been pregnant twice, hospitalized both times," she told Clinton and the audience. "I mean, literally, I asked God, this is a real thing, to just take me and my son in the hospital the second time because I was like, it's the worst thing."

The TV host then got visibly emotional, teary-eyed, and said, "I didn’t know I’d get emotional, sorry." Clarkson paused for a moment, during which Clinton told her, "It’s okay because you're speaking for so many. You’re speaking for literally millions of women in our country and around the world.”

Clarkson went on to note about having kids, "It was my decision," before addressing Arizona's abortion ban once more, saying, "You don't realize how hard it is. The fact that you would take that away from someone."

The mother of two's emotional moment was cut out of the clip of the conversation shared on social media, but it aired in the TV episode.

Fans shared their support for Clarkson in the comments on Instagram, with many praising her for taking on the difficult topic on her show.

"It is so brave of Kelly to talk about this on her show. I’m so proud to be a fan of her. 👏👏👏," said one fan, while another viewer replied, "I already respected Kelly so much, but my respect for her just skyrocketed."

Clarkson is mother to a daughter named River and a son named Remington, who goes by Remy, and she shares both children with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
