Great news: Katharine McPhee just gave birth to her first child.

People broke the exclusive news earlier today and confirmed that McPhee and her husband, David Foster, welcomed a baby boy.

“Katharine McPhee and David Foster have welcomed a healthy baby boy,” their rep told the mag. “Mom, Dad and son are all doing wonderfully.”

Unfortunately, the source didn’t reveal any further details about the baby’s name. But hey, we’ll take what we can get.

We first learned about McPhee’s pregnancy back in October 2020 when she was spotted shopping for baby things in Montecito, California (AKA Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new stomping grounds). The couple first met back in 2006 when the singer was a contestant on season five of American Idol, but things didn’t turn romantic until several years later.

In 2018, Foster proposed to McPhee with a massive engagement ring. One year later, they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony. The wedding took place in London at the Church of Saint Yeghiche and was attended by 150 of their closest friends and family.

Although this is McPhee’s first child, Foster is already a dad to five—we repeat, five—daughters: Allison (50), Amy (47), Sara (40), Erin (38) and Jordan (34).

Cheers to the growing family!
