Kate Middleton is making good use of her and Prince William’s new YouTube channel: The Duchess of Sussex began this week by sharing an emotional video regarding her Hold Still project.

This month, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared a series of clips on their official channel featuring Middleton conducting phone calls with finalists of the National Portrait Gallery's Hold Still photography exhibition. During the conversations, which took place last autumn, the duchess spoke to a number of the 100 finalists who shared their experiences of life during the first COVID-19 lockdown in the U.K. by submitting an image to the project.

The latest installment, called Forever Holding Hands, was released on Monday and included footage of the duchess’s phone call with Hayley Evans, who photographed her grandparents, Pat and Ron Wood, holding hands after they were admitted to the hospital for COVID-19.

“I wanted to say thank you to you for sending in the wonderful, very moving photograph of your grandparents,” Middleton said in the clip, to which Evans responded, “The fact that they impacted so many people’s lives, for her photo to have been selected would have meant so much to her.”

Unfortunately, Evans’s grandparents passed away due to their battle with the coronavirus. Middleton continued, “I am so sorry for your loss. I’m hugely grateful for you sending in such a personal photograph.”

As we mentioned above, this is the third video in the series on YouTube featuring Middleton’s conversations with the finalists. Shorter versions of the clips were also shared simultaneously on Instagram.

And while we don’t know how many more videos to expect in this compilation, we wouldn’t be surprised if Middleton conducted calls with all 100 finalists. Three down, 97 more to go.
