Kanye West Buys a Second Wyoming Ranch for $14.495 Million

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are expanding their presence in Wyoming. Just two months after the rapper and entrepreneur bought one $14 million ranch in the state, TMZ reports that he has purchased a second sprawling ranch there for $14.495 million.

The estate, known as the Bighorn Mountain Ranch, has been around since 1906, and spans an impressive 6,713 acres of canyons, bluffs, mountains, creeks, and game hunting grounds. Several collections of cabins and lodges dot the property, including a five-bedroom, four-bathroom main log home known as The Lodge at Bald Ridge. The house overlooks a large pond and canyon, and boasts a commercial kitchen, wraparound deck, and wood-burning fireplace. The Snowshoe Lodge, located elsewhere on the property, is surrounded by a handful of log cabins, and offers up walk-in saunas for wintertime use, as well as a wet bar in the basement.

According to a video highlighting the property, the land is home to plenty of wildlife, including approximately 2,000 elk that use the ranch and the adjoining public lands frequently. And White Creek, which runs through the ranch, is perfect for small trout fishing, if that’s of interest to the "I Love It" rapper and his clan. One luxurious feature is the two heated helicopter pads that provide year-round access at the ranch (it’s located just a short 10-minute flight via helicopter from the nearest town, Greybull).

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Kimmel in September, Kardashian explained that it has always been West’s “dream and his vision to move there.” Earlier this year, West similarly spoke out about his desire to create an entire community in Wyoming. “It’s just the next frontier for me, to develop,” he told radio personality Charlemagne tha God. “We’re standing on my first property. So I’m going to be one of the biggest real estate developers of all time—what Howard Hughes was to aircrafts and what Henry Ford was to cars. Just the relationships I have with architects, my understanding of space and sacred proportions, just this new vibe, this new energy… We gonna develop cities.”
