Juliette Godot, a 2008 Geneva College graduate, has advanced to the final round of a prestigious international book competition.

Godot's "From the Drop of Heaven," a Renaissance Era historical novel about her real-life ancestors from Alsace-Lorraine, France, is a finalist in The Chaucer Awards, a division of the Chanticleer International Book Awards (CIBAS).

The Chaucer awards recognize emerging new talent and outstanding works in pre-1750s Historical Fiction. The Chaucer Book Awards competition is named after Geoffrey Chaucer, the author of the legendary "Canterbury Tales."
