"The View" cohost also said she confronted Trump about his first presidential campaign at an Adele concert in New York City.

Donald Trump's view on pop culture apparently included visions of Joy Behar on his former reality competition show The Apprentice.

The longtime View cohost and comedian revealed Wednesday on the Behind the Table podcast that Trump — whom she has repeatedly criticized for years from her post at the Hot Topics table — once asked her to appear on an undisclosed season of The Apprentice on NBC.

"Donald Trump and I go back on this show. He was just kind of a New York guy who had a show," Behar told View producer Brian Teta on the episode, after he inquired about the 81-year-old's prior revelation that she found an old photo of herself with Eric and Lara Trump amid her personal belongings.

"He was doing The Apprentice and asked me to be on it. I didn't want to be on it," Behar continued. "I said, 'No, I'm not interested.' He'd be here [in New York City]. At that point I had Melania [Trump] on my show on HLN, she was hawking her jewelry with a touch of birther-ism. He came [to The View] and said, 'Thank you for having Melania on the show.'"

Behar lamented the "monster that he is now," after serving a one-term presidency before being indicted on multiple criminal charges amid his second bid for the White House this year.

"I did not know he was going to turn into this anti-democratic, philandering felon," Behar quipped.

Later in the episode, she reiterated her past with the Trump family, admitting that there was a time she was on speaking terms with them — including when she posed for a photo with Eric and Lara at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

"I went to his wedding to Marla [Maples]," Behar said. "I met [his daughter] Tiffany when she was a baby."

Behar then recalled running into Trump at an Adele concert in New York City, where she said she confronted him at the top of his political career.

"I said to him, 'What are you doing? You really want to do this?' And he said, 'Have you seen the poll numbers?' That's where he was at. Suddenly, he saw himself possibly getting the nomination," Behar remembered.

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to a representative for The View for clarification on which season Behar was allegedly asked to join The Apprentice. Trump's team did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.

Before Trump's first term in the White House, he launched The Apprentice in 2004 as a venture to find a business-savvy candidate to run one of Trump's business endeavors. The Celebrity Apprentice, featuring famous contestants competing for charity money, debuted later in 2008 and featured star competitors like Cyndi Lauper, Joan Rivers, Khloe Kardashian, Lisa Rinna, Lil Jon, Arsenio Hall, Gary Busey, La Toya Jackson, Kevin Jonas, and Behar's former View cohost Star Jones.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
