Jonathan Majors is being sued by his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former Marvel actor was hit with a suit claiming he physically and verbally abused her. Legal documents accuse Majors of assault, battery, malicious prosecution, defamation, and “intentional infliction of emotional abuse.”

Grace’s suit stems from “a pattern of pervasive domestic abuse that began in 2021 and extended through 2023,” the lawsuit reads. The woman also states that he consistently denied assaulting her, even after being convicted. Grace recalled his interview with ABC News in January as a prime example of his “lack of remorse” and accountability for his actions. “[Majors] continued to show an utter lack of remorse for his actions and inability to be deterred from future similar conduct.”

“When publicly confronted with Grace’s numerous allegations of abuse, Majors has called her a liar at every turn and very specifically claimed that he has never put his hands on a woman, with the goal of convincing the world that Grace is not a victim of domestic abuse but instead a crazy liar who should be treated as such,” the lawsuit states.

Jabbari’s suit continues, adding that the acclaimed actor showcased “concerning behaviors as early as September 2021.” The first incident allegedly transpired less than a year later. One alleged incident that the suit outlined happened in September 2022. The woman claimed that Majors “pushed Grace so hard that it bruised her backside.”

“[He then] picked Grace up in the air and threw her against the hood of her car,” the suit details. “[Jonathan Majors] brought Grace back into their house and held his hands around her neck, stating that he wanted to kill her, and that he was going to kill her. Majors then started hitting Grace’s head against the marble floor while strangling her until she felt she could no longer breathe.”

The alleged physical and verbal abuse continued until it finally came to a head in March 2023. Grace Jabbari is seeking more than $75,000 in compensatory and punitive damages.

CNN reports that Priya Chaudhry, Jonathan Majors’ lawyer, released a statement regarding the suit filed in a New York federal court on Tuesday (Mar. 19). “This is no surprise. Mr. Majors is preparing counterclaims against Ms. Jabbari,” Chaudhry asserted.

Following his December 2023 conviction, two more women accused Jonathan Majors of physical and emotional abuse. The women, identified as Emma Duncan and Maura Hooper, detailed the alleged abuse to The New York Times.

Duncan claimed they were engaged from 2015 through 2019. She alleged that during this time, the actor “[choked] her, [threw] her around, and [bruised] her. Much like Grace alleged in her suit, Duncan recounted an incident where he allegedly said, “I’m going to kill you,” and “I’m going to make sure you can’t have children,” after she attempted to leave him.

Hooper claimed that the California native prohibited her from “[speaking] to anyone about their relationship, isolating her from a support system.” She also alleged that she became pregnant with Majors’ baby during their relationship. However, she had an abortion and was forced to walk home after Jonathan failed to pick her up from the clinic.
