Jon Bon Jovi's Wife Absent From Movie Screening After Rockstar Admitted He Wasn't a 'Saint' in Their Marriage

Jon Bon Jovi rose to prominence with hit rock band Bon Jovi in the 1980s. In 1989, he married Dorothea Hurley, and the two have been married ever since. Though Bon Jovi himself recently admitted that he hasn't been the best husband this whole time, and Hurley was notably absent from Bon Jovi's side after the news broke.

On April 25, Bon Jovi attended a screening of the new docuseries Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story in New York City. According to Page Six, he walked the red carpet solo as Hurley was notably absent. It was a departure from the U.K. premiere of the film on April 17, where the couple was together at the event.

Her apparent skipping of the event comes after Bon Jovi sat down with The Independent and reflected on his life in the spotlight. This included, at one point, hinting at alleged infidelities.

"These are all the wonderful clichés of rock stardom," he explained. "It’s about never lying about having been a saint, but not being a fool enough to f--k up the home life either." Bon Jovi's hit 1993 single "Bed of Roses" is even believed to be about his purported dalliances while on the road.

Bon Jovi and Hurley are high school sweethearts and have been by each other's side throughout their adult lives. Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story recounts the band's rise to global domination over a four-episode docuseries. All episodes are now available to stream on Hulu.
