Fletcher and Rodgers fell in love during season 12 of The Bachelorette, capping their search for love off with a finale proposal. Initially slated to wed in 2020, the two postponed their wedding twice due to the pandemic. After a six-year engagement, they got married in Santa Ynez, California, on May 14, 2022.

“It sounds cliché, but I really am marrying my best friend,” Fletcher told PEOPLE at the time. “Everything that's happened in our relationship has only made us stronger. And we just feel so lucky.”

Fletcher added that although it “took a while to get here,” the wait was “so worth it.”

“Jordan is everything I've always looked for in a man," she added. "I'm just so ready for this next chapter of our lives to start!"

Ahead of their second anniversary, Fletcher reflected on how their lives have changed since tying the knot. The answer? Not much.

"Day-to-day life hasn't [changed]," Fletcher told PEOPLE. "I think that Jordan and I were together for six years before we got actually married, but I will say there's just a much, much deeper bond."

She elaborated, "There's this very deep, love, respect and security that you have once you get married and start planning for your future."

The Bachelorette success story translated into a hosting gig on The Big D, where six divorced couples searched for a second chance at love. On Kaitlyn Bristowe’s podcast Off the Vine, Fletcher and Rodgers recalled working through some of their own issues with the USA Network show’s therapist Dr. Jada Jackson.

“We didn’t even know half the time that we were in a therapy session but we were in it,” Fletcher said. “We would sometimes go talk about what had just happened and, you know, Jordan would have one perspective on it, I would have another perspective on it.”

Of the impromptu couple’s therapy sessions, Fletcher had one thing to say: “We loved it!”
