John Travolta Celebrates Late Wife Kelly Preston in Mother's Day Tribute: 'We Love You We Miss You'

The actor honored his late wife Kelly Preston for Mother's Day with a touching post on Instagram

John Travolta is honoring his late wife Kelly Preston for Mother’s Day.

On Sunday, May 12, the actor, 70, posted a touching early Mother’s Day tribute to his wife Preston, who died in 2020, as he shared photos of the actress with their daughter Ella Bleu, son Benjamin and late son Jett, on Instagram.

“Happy Mother’s Day Kelly,” Travolta wrote in the caption to the Mother’s Day post. “We love you, we miss you.”

Travolta’s daughter Ella added a series of “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” emojis in response in the comment section.

In her own post, Ella shared a throwback bath time photo with her Mom. She wrote in her caption: "Happy Mother’s Day, mama🩷 I love you so much."

Preston appeared with Ella, now 24, and Benjamin, now 13, in the first photo Travolta shared, as she and Ella held hand-drawn signs that read, ‘Bake Sale,’ while the trio stood beside a table outdoors that had trays of brownies and sandwiches on.

In a second snap, which appeared to have been taken on a previous Mother’s Day, Preston embraced Benjamin indoors as she was surrounded by Mother’s Day gift bags and a card marking the special celebration.

The late actress appeared in a final black-and-white throwback photo with daughter Ella as toddler and her and Trvaolta’s late son Jett — who died in 2010 — as a child. Preston held Ella as she sat beside Jett and leaned over towards him for a kiss, while Ella stroked her brother’s face.

Travolta’s Mother’s Day tribute to Preston comes nearly four years after her death from breast cancer at the age of 57 in July 2020.

The pair, who tied the knot in 1991, shared three children: Ella, Benjamin and Jett, who died in January 2009 at the age of 16 on vacation in the Bahamas after hitting his head and suffering a seizure.

Last month, Travolta celebrated the birthdays of their children Ella and Jett.

On April 3, the Pulp Fiction star posted a sweet video montage of Ella on her special day baking and decorating her birthday cake and riding in a car with her father.

“Happy birthday Ella,” Travolta said behind the camera as he filmed his daughter. “Thank you,” a smiling Ella replied.

“Happy birthday Ella. I love you. Your dad!” the actor wrote in the post's caption.

On April 12, Travolta also honored his late son Jett on what would have been his 32nd birthday on Instagram as he shared a throwback photo of him and Preston embracing their son as a child.

“Happy birthday my Jetty — not a day goes by where you’re not with me!” Travolta wrote alongside the sweet photo.
