John Goodman's 'Good' Sketch Ideas Get Shot Down by James Corden

We got another Behind the Curtain look at The Late Late Show With James Corden on Wednesday night. The documentary-style sketch follows the behind the scenes drama of the show. This time James was planning a huge performance with Pink where they were both going to dress up as Donald Trump and dangle from the ceiling in silks, as Pink has been known to do.

Although, John Goodman was also scheduled to be on the show that night and he had some “good” sketch ideas of his own. John explained one, saying, “Okay, so here it is: ‘Goodman Will Hunting.’ It’s the ‘How do you like them apples scene?’ but we’re both my character from Roseanne.” John then added, “It writes itself.”

John threw out some other funny options like “Johnny B. Goodman” where they would sing the song “Johnny B. Goode,” but obviously add “man” to the end of “Goode.” Although, James wasn’t loving any of the ideas. Unfortunately, when Pink bailed on the show at the last minute, James was forced to do one of John’s sketch ideas. So the guys got decked out in leather, grabbed a couple guitars, and sang “Go, go, go Johnny, go, go, Johnny B. Goode… man.”

The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.
