Jennifer Love Hewitt has turned her role on 9-1-1 into body art. The actress, who's played dispatcher Maddie Buckley on the show since it premiered in 2018, recently unveiled a new wrist tattoo of a rotary phone, sharing that she got the ink alongside costar Debra Christofferson, who portrays Metro Dispatch Center supervisor Sue Blevins.

"We did it. This job is so special and we are very grateful," Hewitt wrote in an Instagram story, alongside snaps of the identical tattoos, both of which feature "9-1-1" drawn into the designs.

The show tribute isn't Hewitt's first tattoo (far from it). She recently unveiled three butterflies in honor of children Autumn, Atticus and Aidan, along with several finger adornments. Those were followed by a written nod to the universe, all of which came after the angel wing on her left wrist, the queen bee on her right forearm and the hummingbird on her torso.

Hewitt's 9-1-1 costar, on the other hand, was new to the needle. "Debra you are such a bad-ass," the '90s icon wrote on her Instagram story. "Thanks for letting me share your first tattoo experience. I love you."

Sharing behind-the-scenes video of tattoo artist Victoria Do at work, Hewitt also urged viewers to see if they can spot her new ink in upcoming episodes of 9-1-1, a challenge they can take up on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC (although it'll presumably be awhile before the design makes its debut).

The next new episode of 9-1-1 is set to air on May 2, and will feature Maddie's long-awaited wedding to Chimney. But don't expect the day to go off without a hitch. The groom is going to "mysteriously vanish," and the 118 will have to scramble to find him. Perhaps he'll be off somewhere getting a tattoo!
