Jennifer Lopez Scolds a Reporter Over Breakup Questions

It seems Jennifer Lopez does not want to be answering questions about the Ben Affleck divorce rumors. Not that you can really blame her.

Per People, Lopez was in Mexico City on May 22 to promote her new movie, Atlas, when a reporter asked, “Is your divorce with Ben Affleck real? These rumors?” Lopez’s costar in the movie, Simu Liu, cut in to say, “Okay, we’re not doing that.” But Lopez also shut down the reporter herself. Leaning in to look the question asker in the eyes, she chastised, “You know better than that.” The press conference ended shortly after that.

Rumors about a possible rift in Lopez and Affleck’s marriage have been swirling for a while now, but they’re apparently based simply on the fact that they haven’t been seen together much lately, either on the red carpet or in paparazzi pics. However, neither Affleck nor Lopez has confirmed that there is any truth to the rumors, and they have not been spotted without their wedding rings.

And now it’s pretty clear that Jennifer Lopez isn’t here for the divorce talk from the press. At the very least, not while she’s at work, which she was. If the reporter didn’t know better than that before, they certainly do now.
