Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck Might Be Calling New York City Home After Touring Swanky Residences

Now that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are settled into their $60 million estate in Beverly Hills, they might be ready to conquer New York City next. “Jenny From the Block” might be planting roots in her home city after the dynamic duo were spotted house hunting last weekend.
The Page Six snapshots show Lopez casually dressed in wide-leg jeans with a beige turtleneck sweater and a dark overcoat while grabbing onto Affleck’s arm as they looked at townhouses on the Upper East Side. The 49-year-old director also looked comfortable in his black jeans paired with a Nirvana T-shirt, a plaid shirt, a Carhartt jacket, and his Air Jordans. The couple seems to be open to renting or buying as they looked at properties with both of those options, according to the New York Post.

One townhouse that they toured was available for a whopping $45,000 per month and another was on the mark for $5.95 million. Knowing how particular their tastes are in real estate and how much space they need for their blended family; the search could take a long time. Lopez will be spending quite a bit of time in New York City ahead of her reconfigured This Is Me… Live | The Greatest Hits Tour as she films the movie musical, Kiss of the Spider Woman.
There’s also a curious note to this story: Lopez already owns a Manhattan penthouse near Madison Square Park in the same building as Chelsea Clinton. She bought the property in 2014 for $20.2 million, but she’s been trying to sell it off since 2017. It’s likely where she is living now while filming takes place, but it’s also on the market for $24.99 million because Lopez is reportedly looking for more privacy, per the New York Post.
Lopez and Affleck took their sweet time finding the perfect West Coast home after their 2022 marriage. They were in escrow three times and then backed out at the last minute until they found their dream property. It isn’t easy to accommodate five teens from their blended brood and two A-list stars, but they managed to settle nicely into their new home. It’s a pretty tall order to find the perfect property in Manhattan where space is at a premium, so for now, the search continues for the Lopez-Affleck clan.
