Jennifer Garner Plays the Saxophone for Reese Witherspoon's Birthday in Jazzy Tribute Video

Reese Witherspoon marked her 48th birthday on Friday

Jennifer Garner is celebrating pal Reese Witherspoon with a musical tribute.

As Witherspoon celebrated her 48th birthday Friday, Garner, 51, shared a video on Instagram showing herself playing saxophone outside in sunglasses. As she played the instrument, a montage of photos of Witherspoon popped up on screen.

"Two things I love: @reesewitherspoon and smooth jazz. Happy birthday, RW! XX," the actress wrote in the caption.

To celebrate her birthday last year, Witherspoon shared three photos of herself posing with her dog Minnie Pearl and several bouquets of flowers while thanking her followers for birthday wishes.

"Thank you for all my wonderful, loving, heartfelt birthday wishes. Feeling very grateful for all the LOVE in my life!" she wrote at the time.

Witherspoon attended the 2024 SAG Awards on Feb. 24. In January, Witherspoon brought her son Deacon, 20, to the Golden Globes ceremony as her date; daughter Ava, 24, joined her mother on the red carpet at the Critics Choice Awards that same month.

Witherspoon last appeared on screens in the third season of her Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, in addition to her 2023 Netflix rom-com Your Place or Mine. She has a number of projects — including the long-awaited Legally Blonde 3 — in development.
