Jax Taylor Vows to ‘Never Date’ Anyone Else Amid Brittany Cartwright Split

Jax Taylor has declared he will never date or marry again if things don’t work out with his wife, Brittany Cartwright.

The pair announced their separation in February 2024, saying they were taking time apart to focus on their son, Cruz. Shortly after, Brittany spilled more tea, saying Jax’s anger and lack of self-control also led to her leaving. At the time, viewers didn’t know how long the reality stars would remain apart, but after several months, things looked pretty locked in place.

During a chat with The Daily Dish, Jax discussed his love life, or lack thereof, and gave a declarative statement about his future as a bachelor (if it becomes official).

Jax isn’t interested in being with anyone after Brittany

“I’m not dating,” Jax said when asked about his love life since his split from Brittany. “I’m not gonna ever date, no.” He added, “… if things don’t work out between Brittany and I, I will never ever date or get married again.”

To shock us even further, the Pump Rules player said he’d be “done” looking for love if things didn’t work with Britt. But his reasoning makes sense. “My little boy is the most important thing to me. I love him so much, and I am getting emotional thinking about it. Um, no, no, no, no,”  he said.

If you’ve been watching the first season of The Valley, you’ve likely seen the issues Jax and Brittany faced last year. When he appeared on Watch What Happens Live, he told watchers that marriage hasn’t been easy.

“[I’m] going through a lot of things with my mental health right now,” he said. “It’s a tough process.” He then mentioned COVID, getting fired from VPR, and having a baby.

Despite their split after production for Season 1 wrapped, producers started rolling the cameras again after hearing of the news. Thankfully, it’ll all play out for us as the last batch of episodes air over time.
