Jang Ki-Yong’s The Atypical Family Episode 5 Release Date & Trailer Revealed on JTBC

The Atypical Family episode 5 is set to air in May 2024 on JTBC and Netflix. Starring Jang Ki-Yong and Chun Woo-Hee, the fantasy romance K-drama tells the story of a unique family with magical powers.

In the previous episode, Do Da-Hae (Chun Woo-Hee) learned about the Bok family’s superpowers. She wanted to leave her scamming plan, but her mother asked her to continue betraying the family. Bok Gwi-Joo (Jang Ki-Yong) became suspicious of Da-Hae and followed her to a sauna.

He spotted Da-Hae calling a lady “mother.” The latter explained to him that she was not her real mother. Towards the end of the episode, Da-Hae plotted a scheme and lied to Gwi-Joo. He shared his first kiss with her to check his feelings for her.

The Atypical Family episode 5 will air on Saturday, May 18, 2024, and episode 6 on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 10.30 p.m. KST on JTBC. The K-drama is also available to stream on Netflix.

Episode 5 trailer begins with Da-Hae asking Gwi-Joo if he knows what comes after kissing. His mother, Bok Man-Heum, questions Da-Hae whether she has discovered why Man-Heum only dreams of her. Da-Hae gets scared when Man-Heum comes near her and touches her hand.

Later, Da-Hae brings up the topic of the marriage certificate in front of Gwi-Joo. She suggests that he should tell his family. It makes his mother happy, while his sister Dong-Hee (Claudia Kim) looks shocked. On the other hand, Gwi-Joo seems confused about whether he should believe Da-Hae.

The Atypical Family airs new episodes twice a week on Saturday and Sunday on JTBC and Netflix.
