Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan in 'Freaky Friday'

The earthquake that hit the East Coast on Friday had fans convinced they were in the midst of a Freaky Friday—so naturally, Jamie Lee Curtis had to chime in.

The actress, who famously starred in the 2003 body-switching film alongside Lindsay Lohan, spoke out on social media Friday, April 5, to praise fans for relating the 4.8-magnitude New Jersey earthquake to a memorable scene from the popular Disney movie.

As Freaky Friday fans remember, Curtis' character Tess Coleman switches bodies with her daughter Anna Coleman (played by Lohan) after eating magic fortune cookies. The ground-shaking switch caused the characters to think an earthquake occurred. (Grandpa, played by Harold Gould, is particularly remembered for thinking any shaking movements were the start of an earthquake.)

So once Friday's quake was felt across New Jersey and New York, fans immediately began thinking about Freaky Friday—and Curtis, 65, is here for it.

A comical post shared by Teen Vogue on Instagram read, "Does anyone have eyes on Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan," after feeling the shakes, prompting Curtis to share the post to her own IG page on Friday.

"Somebody sent this in response to the earthquake on the East Coast," Curtis wrote under her post, garnering tons of laughing-face emojis in the comments.

"This is hilarious," one of the Halloween star's followers commented.

Other users took to X (formerly Twitter) to make their own Freaky Friday-themed jokes, including someone who tweeted, "So did anybody get freaky Friday'd during the earthquake or what."

"That wasn't an earthquake, they were just filming the body swap scene in Freaky Friday 2," someone else joked.

"Did any fighting mothers and daughters switch bodies during the earthquake?! I need another Freaky Friday!!!" wrote another fan.

And luckily for them, a Freaky Friday sequel actually is confirmed to be in the works, with both Curtis and Lohan signed on to star in it.
