ixaras Releases New Single ‘Fresh Figure’
Australian rising teen artist ixaras has dropped her new single ‘Fresh Figure’, available now after its debut on triple j last night.
This release marks her first song via her own newly launched youth label ‘Anti Dismal’. The new single ‘Fresh Figure’ delves into ixaras’ internal monologue of a torn relationship and unrequited love, and the ambivalence she feels: “She’s out of my life / but I don’t feel anything.”

ixaras is a 16-year-old artist from Meanjin/Brisbane, who has swiftly gained recognition for her catchy tunes and insightful lyrics exploring the challenges of adolescence and young romance.
ixaras shared the meaning behind her new single via a statement. ‘I wanted ‘Fresh Figure’ to be that empowering anthem for anyone who’s been mistreated in a relationship. I wrote it earlier this year when I was stuck in a situation I didn’t want to be in. Even though I’ve moved on, I felt it was important to release it because so many people could relate to the lyrics,”
She has previous hits like ‘lately’ and ‘sprouts’ amassing over 280K streams and 4 million radio impressions. In 2023, she was also triple j unearthed High Finalist and received a nomination for a Queensland Music Award in the youth category. She recently co-launched Coke Studios with Tones and I and has supported renowned artists like Tyne James Organ and GRINSPOON.
