Ivanka Trump's getting slammed for her tweet celebrating Labor Day

Another day, another tweet from the president’s senior adviser — and daughter — Ivanka Trump that has people upset. This time the first daughter chose to share some fairly innocuous thoughts about the holiday celebrating American workers.

As has become par for the course when Ivanka tweets, a chorus of people swiftly shared their issues with what she had to say.

Most of them took issue with her celebrating American workers while her eponymous (and now defunct) fashion brand was manufactured overseas.

Others called out the administration — and specifically the president — for canceling an automatic 2.1 percent pay increase due to take effect for most civilian federal employees in 2019, calling them “inappropriate” given budgetary pressures.

“We must maintain efforts to put our Nation on a fiscally sustainable course, and Federal agency budgets cannot sustain such increases,” Trump said in a letter informing House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., of the pay freeze.

And a few thanked Ivanka for her message.

The first daughter gets zero breaks from Twitter and has been called out repeatedly. She was called out on breastfeeding policy, for her clothing line closing shop, and for thanking her dad for ending a family separation policy he started.
