The Internet Falls in Love With Viral "Walmart Boy"

There's even yodeling.

Sometimes all the internet needs in order to create its next viral sensation is a little boy, some music, and a local Walmart.

Thanks to a tweet that's been shared over 45,000 times at the time of writing, 10-year-old Mason Ramsey has become a social media fan favorite. As noted by PopCulture, Mason was spotted belting his heart out in a Harrisburg, Illinois Walmart location, much to the surprise of other shoppers.

The video quickly made its rounds on Twitter, with others jumping in to respond to the 10-year-old's musical stylings. "Anyone else couldn't stop looking at the foot tap?" one user quipped. Another person made a suggestion to "send [the video] to your mans the next time you want attention." Mason's singing has even inspired some pretty creative mashups — oh and did I mention there was yodeling? There's yodeling.

According to PopCulture, Mason has been spotted singing in Walmart before — and his aisle-side concerts have earned him a celebrity status in his town. A quick search on YouTube will yield several other videos of the 10-year-old singing, and he even appeared on local radio station BEAVER 100.3 FM to share his musical talents with his community. It remains to be seen whether or not Mason will turn his Walmart concerts into stadium ones, but if he ends up becoming the next big star, he'll have a pretty cool "discovery" story.
