If you’re an HGTV fanatic like we are, chances are you adore Fixer Upper superstars Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines. Despite insiders and sources claiming for years that there has been tension between the two, and that a split may be on the horizon, however, close insiders are now singing a new tune.

The Gaines are truly in love, and more so than ever after 21 years of marriage. The insiders actually spilled the secret to their long marriage to Closer Weekly: their weekly date nights are the key.

Per the insider, Chip and Joanna have an on-call sitter for their kids so they can have romantic dinners, picnics, and more in Waco.

They said to the outlet: “Joanna says spending alone time with Chip reminds her of what made her fall in love with him in the first place.” Now, does this mean forever is in the cards for them? Well, the insider also, gleefully, added that “[Joanna is]ready for another 20 years.”

For those who don’t know, Chip and Joanna met in Waco, Texas, while they attended Baylor University. Chip visited her dad’s auto shop a lot, and then they hit it off.

They started dating in the early 2000s and ended up getting engaged in 2002. They married a year later in 2003 and have since welcomed five children: Drake, born on May 2005, Ella Rose, born on Oct 2006, Duke, born on May 2008, Emmie Kay, born in Feb 2010, and Crew, born in June 2018.
