Not only has Taylor Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department refueled theories about her romances with Matt Healy and Joe Alwyn, but it also reignited the long-standing feud between her and Kim Kardashian. They had a feud that lasted years, and one many thought was long dead and gone. However, with one of Swift’s new tracks, all eyes are on Kardashian, and how she feels about this feud again.

Many have looked back on her past tweets about the situation to see how she’s potentially feeling. However, an inside source is revealing how Kardashian allegedly feels about the song “thanK you aIMee,” and it turns out, that Kardashian is pretty unbothered about the whole situation, and doesn’t want to get involved again.

“Kim probably does have regrets about lying about the editing of the now famous video, but it’s fair to say that she was caught up in the whole Kanye [West] aspect of it,” the source said to Life & Style Mag.

“She was basically protecting her man. I’m sure Kim could clear up what really happened, and why she did what she did, but I don’t think she wants to revisit that particular situation,” they said. “It would just open up a whole new can of worms and she’s truly moved on.”

So sources claim that, like Swift’s exes Alwyn and Healy, Kardashian won’t be publicly talking about Swift, or her new album, any time soon.

So, if you need a recap on the feud, it goes all the way back to 2016, also known as the incident that helped inspire her Reputation era. Back then, Kardashian’s ex-husband Kanye West came out with a song called “Famous,” which had the line “Might have sex with Taylor Swift / Why? I made that b***h famous.”

Now, this song started it all, because while West claimed Swift gave him permission (and Kardashian released a video of her agreeing to it), Swift says otherwise. She claimed that the video Kardashian took was “manipulated” and “illegally recorded.”

Swift has continually talked about the feud, including in her 2023 Time Person of the Year interview, where she said the incident took her “down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before,” per Business Insider via MSN.

Kardashian gave her final statement on the feud in 2020. She wrote: “To be clear, the only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that ‘Kanye never called to ask for permission…’ They clearly spoke so I let you all see that. Nobody ever denied the word ‘bitch’ was used without her permission.”

Now, in 2024, Swift released a song called “thanK you aIMee,” which tells the story of someone being bullied by a person named Aimee. The capitalization of the name “Kim” was quickly deduced by fans, and many found Easter eggs in the song directed at Kardashian, including one lyric that has the internet split: “I changed your name and any real defining clues. And one day, your kid comes home singin’ a song that only us two is gonna know is about you.”
