Highest paying companies for entry-level jobs
New research has found that more than half of young people aged between 18 and 25 are actively looking for jobs rn. The research also shows that salary is the most important factor when considering where to work.
Not surprising considering the cost of living just keeps on rising (FYI we've also made a list of cities who pay women the most). In response to this new research, Glassdoor (a platform that provides insights about jobs and companies) has complied a list of companies paying the highest salaries for entry-level jobs in the UK right now.
And the best part? They all pay more than £45,000 a year. Urm yes please. "Entry-level" has been defined as jobs that require less than two years of relevant experience and all the positions included in this list are non-senior. Eight of the ten highest paying companies are in the financial sector, while the other two companies are in the legal and tech sectors.
“Our research shows that finance and tech companies are offering big money to attract those at the start of their careers," explains Lauren Thomas, Glassdoor’s EMEA Economist. "But while the majority of young people say salary is their primary consideration when job hunting, pay shouldn’t be the only consideration when determining where to work. Once in a job, it’s a company’s culture and values, senior leadership team and the career opportunities available that drive employee satisfaction."
