Sadly, Gosling did not put his shirt over his head and become the Great Cornholio.

Two very familiar AI enthusiasts made a surprise cameo at the Los Angeles premiere of The Fall Guy.

Ryan Gosling and Mikey Day reprised their recent hilarious Saturday Night Live sketch Tuesday night, appearing as two dudes who bear an eerie resemblance to Beavis and Butt-Head at the action flick’s red-carpet event at the Dolby Theatre. Hailed as “the guys from the town hall livestream,” they took photos with fans before crashing a live-streamed interview with Gosling's Fall Guy costar Emily Blunt.

The pair introduced themselves as Dean (Gosling) and Jeff (Day) before asking Blunt if she was indeed “Emma Blarnt,” a.k.a. “the lady in the film.” When she agreed, Dean replied, “Wonderful.”

Blunt, naturally, had a few questions about how the duo ended up at the event. “Did you get the memo about the dress code?” she asked.

To which Dean replied, “No, no, we just got invited.”

He and Jeff also reflected on their meteoric rise to fame since they first met at an AI conference. “We’re just going on the ride,” Dean said. “We’ll see what happens.”

In fact, they’ve both been so busy that they still haven’t had time to check out the classic MTV hit Beavis and Butt-Head yet.

“I mean, I’m not familiar with the show,” Dean said.

Added Jeff, “I haven’t gotten around to seeing pictures of those characters, but I’ll check it out.”

Dean then interjected to ask Blunt if she was in the 2011 movie Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, which she starred in opposite Ewan McGregor. “I love that film,” he said as he shook her hand. “Emily Blarnt.”

While they were able to hang with Blunt, the guys had a harder time meeting her Fall Guy costar Gosling.

“I don’t know who that is,” Jeff said.

Added Dean, “I think he gave me the one-finger salute and I gave it back.”

Turns out, the pair had just missed their opportunity to meet Gosling, who'd arrived at the event earlier dressed in a mint tuxedo with two of his stunt doubles. While posing for photographs, the stunt artists were dramatically yanked backwards through the movie’s poster onto a crash pad, leaving only Gosling in the spotlight.

The Fall Guy crashes into theaters on May 3.
