“Harry Potter” Star Afshan Azad-Kazi Is Pregnant, Expecting Baby No. 2 with Husband Nabil Kazi

There's an extra bit of magic coming to Afshan Azad-Kazi's family!

The actress, best known for playing Padma Patil in the Harry Potter franchise, announced last month that she is pregnant, expecting her second baby with husband Nabil Kazi.

Azad-Kazi, 35, shared her exciting news on Instagram, posting a photo of her 2-year-old daughter Kyra placing her hands on her baby bump.

"An extra special Mother’s Day this year to celebrate our growing family. 🥰🩷🤰👶🏽👨‍👩‍👧," wrote Azad-Kazi, who revealed the news on March 10, which is Mother's Day in the U.K. "Keep me and my family in your prayers. Allah Humma Barik. 🤲🏾."

Several of her Harry Potter castmates took to the comments to share their congratulations, including Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley. "Love you 😘😘😘😘," the actress wrote.

"Aww congrats Afshan! ❤️," wrote Evanna Lynch, who starred as Luna Lovegood in the films.

In 2021, Azad-Kazi announced that she was expecting her first baby with her husband, sharing a picture of herself cradling her baby bump on her Instagram.

"The secrets out everyone - I'm going to be a mummy!!! 😭🥰," Azad-Kazi captioned the shot. "Thanking Allah SWT for gifting us our biggest blessing yet 🤲🏽✨."

"Both our hearts are filled with love, excitement and nerves!" she continued. "Not long to go, please keep us all in your prayers."

Azad-Kazi made her Harry Potter debut in 2005 and appeared in five of the franchise's films. She married Kazi in 2018 and had two wedding ceremonies.

One of her ceremonies was at the Symphony Hall Birmingham and was attended by several of her castmates, including Wright and Katie Leung.

"Married and moved out of Manchester to start my new life," she wrote on her Instagram at the time. "Thank you to my incredible family and friends, without you I'm nothing. Best wedding ever, even if I do say so myself! Keep us in your prayers. ❤️👰🏻🤵🏻 #KazadWedding #RoyalWedding."
