The “Ted Lasso” star was walking the red carpet, ahead of her stint as host of the Olivier Awards.

In a move that would make Keeley Jones and Rebecca Welton very proud, Hannah Waddingham didn’t hesitate to confront a photographer who told her to “show me leg.”

The Ted Lasso actress was preparing to walk the red carpet at Sunday night’s Olivier Awards and, while posing for photos outside the Royal Albert Hall, a member of the paparazzi made his request. In a video shared by X user @odeiotedlasso, the photographer's words are inaudible but Waddingham’s response is more than clear: “Oh my god,” she says, visibly shocked. “You’d never say that to a man, my friend.”

Dressing down the photographer, she continues, “Don’t be a dick, otherwise I’ll move off. Don’t say, ‘Show me leg.’ No.”

The crowd cheered her on as she walked away.

Negative interaction aside, Waddingham’s night only got better from there. For the second year in a row, the actress served as host of the Laurence Oliver Awards, which honors the best of London’s theater with accolades. She opened the ceremony with a performance of "Anything Goes" to massive applause, before hosting the ceremony which awarded the likes of Sarah Snook, Mark Gatiss, and Nicole Scherzinger.

Waddingham is no stranger to standing up for herself on the red carpet. While attending the Emmys earlier this year, she was quick to correct Live From E! Countdown to the Emmys host Laverne Cox, after she accidentally introduced her as “Hannah Waddington."

"Waddingham,” the actress said with a smile. “Let’s get that right, straight away.”

Their much more lighthearted interaction ended with Cox jokingly imitating Waddingham’s english accent as she repeated her name. The Orange Is the New Black star certainly didn’t mind being corrected and told the actress, "I love you so much.”
