Halsey Got a Tattoo Before Performing on "Saturday Night Live" With Lil Wayne
Only days after making a statement with feather-covered brows at the 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and Halsey has blown our beauty minds again. Just minutes before taking to the Saturday Night Live stage on Saturday November 10, the singer got — and then debuted — a new tattoo.
Her new ink came just before she joined Lil Wayne for a duet of his song "Can't Be Broken." The rapper was SNL's musical guest on Saturday, and Halsey made a special appearance, tweeting, "Thank u for making this lil girl’s dreams come true. Just performed “Can’t Be Broken” on @nbcsnl with @LilTunechi!!!!! PINCH ME!"
Along with achieving one of her childhood dreams, Halsey marked the moment in ink, and had Lil Wayne write lyrics from his song "She Will" on her arm. Celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy then made the handwritten words permanent. "'On my Libra scale I’m weighin sins and forgiveness.' Got this yatted by @jonboytattoo seconds before walking onstage thanks for writing this one out for me @LilTunechi," Halsey tweeted. In the photo, you can see the still reddened tattoo of a scale between the words Sins and Forgiveness.
Halsey didn't reveal the ink until after her performance, but it's unlikely fans would have spotted it on the SNL stage. The singer covered the tattoo, which is located on her upper right arm, with a black jacket.
Despite keeping the tattoo hidden, fans on Twitter were left totally impressed by the decision, writing, "@halsey getting a tattoo in lil wayne’s handwriting is the most important thing to me right now," and "This is so cute." One Twitter follower even had a suggestion for how Halsey could top this moment, writing, "Next step is to get a tattoo in the middle of performing."
The new tattoo is the latest to join Halsey's many inked additions. Her past tattoos have included an abstract image of two people kissing and a mini face tattoo.
