Hallmark Channel's Brenner brothers are officially older, wiser — and back!

The network announced on April 25 that it will be debuting a sequel to its 2022 Christmas movie hit, Three Wise Men and a Baby, later this year as part of its 15th annual Countdown to Christmas programming.

The new movie, Three Wiser Men and a Boy, is currently in production and reunites fan-favorites Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker and Paul Campbell as brothers Taylor, Luke and Stephan Brenner. Margaret Colin, who played their mother Barbara, is also returning.

Written by Campbell along with Kimberley Sustad and Russell Hainline, the new movie picks up just before Christmas five years later.

According to the official synopsis, "In a crazy turn of events, possibly brought on accidentally by the brothers themselves, the director of Luke’s son Thomas’ (Miles Marthaller) school holiday musical steps down. Luke is desperate to make his son’s stage dreams come true, so he enlists the help of his brothers Taylor and Stephan. Meanwhile, the trio navigates meeting their mom Barbara’s new boyfriend and the brothers grapple with their own feelings about this relationship. In true Brenner brother fashion, they are all in for a Christmas they will never forget."

As the first film was the No. 1 most-watched original cable movie of 2022 and spawned a viral dance video, the decision to create a sequel should come as no surprise to Hallmark fans.

“Viewers and critics alike fell for the charms of Paul, Tyler and Andrew as the Brenner brothers in Three Wise Men and a Baby,” Jennifer Kramer, vice president of development at Hallmark Media, said in a statement.

“The one resounding thing we heard from them was that they wanted more,” Kramer continued. “We are excited to deliver and then some with a story that is filled with more humor and, most importantly, more heart.”
