GV Prakash’s DeAr OTT Release Date Confirmed

Actor and composer GV Prakash’s latest movie, DeAr, was recently released on the silver screens. The movie opened to mixed reviews as a chunk of the audience did not find it entertaining. Allegedly, the movie failed to reach its desired box office collection. As a result, it is all set to arrive on an OTT platform within 17 days of its release.

Written and directed by Anand Ravichandran, DeAr saw Aishwarya Rajesh play its leading lady. GV Prakash served as the movie’s music composer, while Romeo Pictures and Nutmeg Productions bankrolled it. It was released in Tamil in the theaters on April 11.

It has now been confirmed that GV Prakash’s latest movie, DeAr, will arrive on the OTT giant Netflix. The movie will be available to stream from April 28. It is expected to be released in multiple languages on the streaming platform.

Besides the two leads, the movie has a number of actors playing crucial roles. Ilavarasu, Kaali Venkat, Rohini, Geetha Kailasam, Thalaivasal Vijay, and Nandini portrayed supporting characters in the movie.

DeAr follows the story of a newly married couple and a problem that disturbs their peaceful abode. Prakash plays the role of a newsreader named Arjun, a light sleeper. He has to get the mandatory eight hours of sleep every night to function well.

As he marries Deepika, he soon realizes his wife has a snoring problem. While it might sound like a small issue, it takes a toll on their married and individual lives. It also denotes the compromises two people make in a marriage for it to work. How they deal with this issue shapes the story of the movie.

Following the movie’s poor theatrical run, how it would do on Netflix would be interesting to watch.
