Gucci Hops Into Spring With Whimsical Year of the Rabbit Collection

Gucci is celebrating the Lunar New Year and willing a swift spring season with its new Year of the Rabbit collection.

The Italian luxury fashion house offers a feast for the eyes as the mélange of technicolor garments deliver deeply saturated colors and fanciful prints. The determinedly joyful collection is comprised of soft-to-the touch silk shirts, expertly crafted handbags and precious jewelry and timepieces.

Celebrating the spirit of the Chinese New Year, the rabbit makes several thoughtful appearances throughout the release. Sophisticated loafers are spray painted with bouncing bunnies, while the cuddly creatures are tenderly woven into cozy sweaters. Silk turquoise blouses are adorned with a dizzying array of geometric pinwheels alongside preppy pleated mustard skirts.

Elsewhere, an elegant sea foam green top is dotted with lilac and yellow floral patterns and is paired with a coral skirt, bearing a matching pattern. Accessories receive thoughtful consideration as the brand's signature items like the Diana tote and Horsebit 1955 shoulder bag are specially made for the festive collection. The former carry-all is outfitted with hand-painted stripes, whereas the Horsebit 1955 features precious leathers, tweeds and studs.
