Great Plains Renaissance Festival wraps up with Kings last Huzzah

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Sunday was the final day for all knights and ladies at the Great Plains Renaissance Festival. It was another day filled with falconry, fire-breathing daredevils, bagpipes and more.

While the festival was open to people of all ages, they wanted to ensure that everyone could feel like a kid again.

“You can wear a costume or not. I think people do have more fun if they do dress up, but it’s just a chance to immerse yourself in things that you would go to the movies for or read in a book,” said Great Plains Renaissance Festival director Richard Kathey.
