Grammy-nominated rock band to perform at the NW WA Fair; concert tickets on sale April 12

The Northwest Washington Fair has announced another performer joining its Grandstand Entertainment lineup during the fair this August.

Christian rock band Leeland will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, according to a Facebook post.

Known for their songs, “Waymaker” and “Lion and the Lamb”, the worship group has been nominated for four Grammy awards including contemporary Christian music album and three nominations for best pop/contemporary Gospel album.

The band has released seven albums and was also nominated for eight GMA Dove Awards, according to the band’s website.

Tickets for the concert go online at 9 a.m. Friday, April 12, but presale tickets will be available April 10 for those who subscribe to the fair’s email newsletter. Tickets can be purchased online, by calling 360-354-4111 or in person at the fair office at 1775 Front St. in Lynden.

Last month fair officials announced Ludacris would also be performing at the fair, along with country singer Walker Hayes is scheduled to perform Aug. 10 as part of his latest North American tour.

The Northwest Washington Fair will run Aug. 8-17 at the NW WA Fairgrounds at 1775 Front St. in Lynden.
