Following two successful seasons, the comedy ensemble was unfortunately shelved by Peacock in 2022. However, Netflix came back to resurrect the series, picking up the show two years after its cancellation. With the third season having recently premiered, there is little to no update on a potential fourth installment. Nevertheless, considering Netflix’s recent involvement, another addition to the Tina Fey-produced series should be on the cards. Showrunner Meredith Scardino has also expressed her desire to return to the show for a fourth season in an interview with Decider. Consequently, fans of Girls5eva could expect the sitcom to make a comeback in Spring 2025.
The cast of Girls5eva is led by Sara Bareilles and Busy Philipps, who portray Dawn and Summer, respectively. The supporting cast also features Paula Pell, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Daniel Breaker, Erika Henningsen, and Andrew Rannells, among others.
