Girl Scout Troop sets up next to a marijuana dispensary

A troop of Girl Scouts are being praised for their savvy business tactics. after choosing to set up outside Dispensary 33, a medical marijuana retailer in Chicago. The dispensary shared the news to Twitter on Feb. 9. “Reporting to you live at Dispensary 33. We have Girl Scout cookies!! And not just the cannabis kind”. The dispensary’s video instantly went viral, and has since been viewed more than 17,000 times. Many Twitter users praised the pairing, saying the Girl Scouts were the “future leaders America needs” and that the idea was “really smart”. A few people were more upset by the idea, suggesting that the troop could’ve found a more wholesome place to sell. Regardless of how others felt, the troop successfully sold “hundreds of boxes” that day. According to the store’s marketing and outreach manager, Abigail Watkins, it was the troop’s idea to collaborate. “The cookies they’re selling and our clientele, it’s a great match … As a former Girl Scout, I admire the hustle”
