Gigi Hadid Trolled Ryan Reynolds for Wearing Her Brand on Instagram

Blake Lively also got some roasting.

Almost two years after launching her own clothing brand, Gigi Hadid is trolling two of her best models on Instagram. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum, who founded her unisex cashmere and knitwear company Guest In Residence in September 2022, couldn’t resist poking fun after Ryan Reynolds shared a photo of himself modeling one of the pieces from her latest collection on Instagram. Unsurprisingly, the good natured ribbing also included a shout-out to Reynolds’ other half and Hadid’s close friend, Blake Lively, who’s known for her effortless style both on and off the red carpet.

The exchange started when the Ghosted actor posted an Instagram Story of him wearing the brand’s $465 pink Everywear men’s cardigan, which he captioned, “Zoom zoom.” Hadid quickly reposted the photo, thanking the star for repping her brand before launching into her roast.

“@vancityreynolds Thank you mostly because we collectively, as a team, geek out every time you wear GIR,” she began, before bringing Lively’s well-known fashion sense into the conversation.

"You will never look like Blake in it … but you know this,” Hadid continued, before turning her teasing to the Betty Buzz founder. “And I find you a more useful friend of the brand because you love trying all the new pieces and she’s been wearing the same shirt from two winters ago through every season … ”

She concluded, “Cc @blakelively your spring package is on the way. Please try a cotton blend.”

This isn’t the first time the Deadpool star has modeled ‘fits from Hadid’s clothing collection. Back in December, Reynolds shared a selfie of himself wearing a tweed button up shirt from the brand on Instagram Stories. “My friend @gigihadid makes damn nice clothes,” he wrote at the time, to which Hadid responded, “I like my friends cozy ! ! ! Thank u brother.”

Lively, who has previously teased Reynolds for wearing her clothes, has yet to respond publicly, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for any return ribbing – and stylish ‘fit posts from the actress – after Hadid’s playful nudge.
