ICYMI, Leonardo DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid dating rumors have been floating around the internet ever since he broke up with his girlfriend of roughly four years, Camila Morrone. Gigi quietly split from her on-again, off-again boyfriend Zayn Malik in October 2021, and she hadn’t been romantically linked to anyone before she reportedly started seeing Leo.
An anonymous source told E! News that “Leo has been asking mutual friends about Gigi and wants to get to know her.” It was also revealed that the pair is not in an exclusive relationship, but that they have hung out several times. Leo “is interested” in Gigi while she “is having fun with it” and “is not interested in anything serious.”
Meanwhile, Gigi’s dad, real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, opened up to the Daily Mail about the rumored relationship. He discussed his relationship with Leo and shared his thoughts about the speculation. “I met Mr. DiCaprio in St. Tropez four or five years ago, and he is a very nice man,” he began. “I like him.” Although he’s had positive experiences with Leo, Mohamed doesn’t exactly believe the dating rumors. “I have not spoken to my daughter about Mr. DiCaprio. I don’t think they are dating — I believe they are just good friends, but I really don't know.”

"They're only seeing each other right now," the source revealed. "It's [still] casual, and they aren't labeling it, [but] they're dating [again]. Leo wants to take it slower with Gigi because there's potential there, and he wants to preserve it."
A different source previously revealed to the outlet that Gigi allegedly wasn't into the 'ship as much as Leo was in September 2022. "Leo does have his sights set on Gigi, but she hasn't shown an interest," the insider shared. "They're friends but she doesn't want to be romantic with [him] right now."
July 1, 2023: Gigi and Leo Arrived at the Same Party and Left Separately
While the pair reportedly didn't feel any fireworks within their connection, they likely watched some at the same Fourth of July celebration in the Hamptons. According to a report by Entertainment Tonight, Gigi and Leo were spotted at the same party thrown by nightlife entrepreneur Richie Akiva on Saturday, July 1. An anonymous source told the outlet that Gigi and Leo arrived at the party separately and stayed with their respective friend groups.
"They arrived separately and left separately and stuck to their own groups for the most part," the source said. "They both seemed like they had a good time at the party and were very chill. Gigi was friendly to people and Leo was unassuming and low-key."
June 28, 2023: Leo and Gigi "Did Try to Date" but There Wasn't Anything There
According to a source close to the pair, Leonardo DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid did try dating, but there ultimately weren't any sparks.

This comes after another source spilled to Us Weekly that the two were in an open relationship (or a 'situationship' if you will).
"People just need to let this go. That is not how Leonardo handles relationships. This makes him sound cheap and that he is not. When he is with someone, he is with them. He enjoys this friendship with Gigi and that is that," the source added.
