Lucas and Hobson tied the knot in 2013

The legendary filmmaker and philanthropist, 79, stepped out with Hobson, 55, businesswoman and co-CEO of Ariel Investments, on April 11 to attend GQ's second annual Global Creativity Awards in New York City.
Posing for photos, Hobson wore a three-piece black suit with silver pinstripes and stars on her jacket as she wrapped her arm around Lucas.
Meanwhile, the creator of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises was dressed in a white shirt under a dark blue suit.

According to GQ, the GQ Global Creativity Awards celebrated some of the world's biggest creatives, with stars like Lewis Hamilton, Danny McBride and Hunter Schafer honored at the event.

Hobson and Lucas have been married since 2013 and share a daughter, Everest, who was born via surrogate in August 2013.

The former chairwoman of DreamWorks Animation also serves as the co-founder and board member of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, which is set to open in Los Angeles in 2025.
"I think [our relationship] works because we are extraordinarily open-minded people, and we're open to what the universe brings us," Hobson told Oprah Winfrey on Oprah's Next Chapter in 2012. "I think we didn't have preconceived ideas about what a partner should be, and so we allowed ourselves to discover something that was unexpected."
Lucas is also the father of professional mixed martial arts fighter Amanda, 42, who he adopted with his ex-wife, film editor Marcia Lou Griffin.
He then adopted daughter Katie, 35, as a single parent in 1988, as well as son Jett, 31, in 1993.
