Perdomo most recently starred in Gen V, Prime Video’s spinoff of The Boys, as Andre Anderson, a student with magnetic manipulation capabilities. The series debuted in September 2023 and was renewed for Season 2 in October, but TVLine has confirmed that production will be pushed back in the wake of Perdomo’s passing.

In addition to his run as Gen V’s Andre, Perdomo’s TV credits include Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (where he played the warlock Ambrose Spellman) and episodes of Midsomer Murders and Hetty Feather.

“We can’t quite wrap our heads around this,” the producers of Gen V said in a statement released on Saturday. “For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”

Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television released their own statement, saying “the entire Gen V family is devastated by the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo.” They offered “heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time.”

On the film side, Perdomo’s credits include Killed by My Debt, After We Fell and After Ever Happy, among others.
