Gary and Alli's Relationship on 'Below Deck' Is Headed Toward Shipwreck
Bravo’s Below Deck Sailing Yacht is only getting bigger and better. While working aboard the Parsifal III in the middle of Croatia is any yachties dream, it appears as if some cast members are drowning themselves in frivolities, cocktails, and a lot of drama, and we mean, a lot.
As Dani and Jean-Luc embark on their newfound romance, it seems as if Gary King and Alli Dore are following suit. Although fans were certain that Gary would end up with Sydney following their hookup, the tides have since turned and he’s now set sail on Alli. Just when the Below Deck throuple seemingly walked the plank, it turns out Sydney isn’t over it just yet. With her most recent news regarding Gary and his relationship with Alli, fans are curious whether their relationship can tread the roughest of waters. So, are the two still dating? Let’s find out!
It looks like Gary and Alli might just be friends after all
On any given season of Below Deck, hookups, romances, and relationships are inevitable, and the Bravo spin-off, Sailing Yacht is certainly proving just that. Although all eyes have been on Dani and Jean-Luc’s boatmance, it seems as if Gary and Alli are now giving the couple a run for their money.
The duo have been getting closer week after week, however, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Prior to Gary and Alli setting sail on their romance, the two were once three when fellow deckhand, Sydney Zaruba, was part of the equation.
While Gary has since gone on to claim that he regrets his hookup with Sydney, despite already having an interest in 3rd stew, Alli Dore, it seems as if Sydney felt otherwise. The Florida-native caught feelings for Gary King after their night together, however, King continues to refer to it as a “one-time thing.”
“I feel like, I did make my intentions clear to Sydney,” Gary said. The Chief Officer went on to refer to their moment together as “a little bit of a mistake,” however, one thing that remains totally unmistakable is his attraction to Alli.
When asked about his feelings for Dore, Gary revealed that the two “kind of hit off” from the start! “I did like Alli,” Gary mentioned during an interview with E! Online. “She made me laugh, we got along well, and at the end of the day, I was like, ‘OK, this is gonna work!'”
Despite his optimistic view, things between Gary and Alli took a turn when Sydney dropped a major bomb during a recent episode. While Gary and Alli were tucked away for some much-needed alone time, Sydney revealed that she and Gary did, in fact, sleep together, despite them telling the crew it was “just a kiss.”
Well, Alli didn’t hold back when it came time to speak her piece on Watch What Happens Live. When asked what motivated Sydney to spill the beans on her and Gary’s hookup, Alli wasted no time to claim Sydney did it purely out of spite. “I hate to say it, but Sydney seems a little bit vindictive. I think she had the intention of me finding out,” she told host Andy Cohen.
Considering Gary and Alli have been through the wringer and back when it comes to their summer romance, it seems as if it just that, a summer romance. During her interview on WWHL, Alli claimed that she was simply “enjoying the flirt,” and who wouldn’t while secluded away in Croatia?
As for where the two stand today, neither Gary nor Alli have confirmed or denied the status of their relationship, however, Alli does not follow Gary on Instagram, leaving fans suspect as to whether or not the two are even on good terms.
