Why ‘This Is Us’ star Justin Hartley had a fan who called him an ‘a**h***’

On Tuesday’s The Late Late Show With James Corden, star of This Is Us, Justin Hartley, described an encounter with one of the show’s many fans. As he was heading into the Super Bowl, a man approached him and opened with a positive ice breaker. “He walks up to me and said, ‘Man, my wife thinks you're really handsome,’” Hartley said. “I was like, ‘Okay. I don't know how to respond to to that.’” But that’s when things started to turn a little more tense for Hartley. “I said, ‘Well tell your wife, thank you. I will tell my mom, thank you.’ And he goes, ‘I think you're asshole.’ I said, ‘buddy I don't know you.’ And he’s like, ‘But I have to sit and listen to her say that.’” Luckily Hartley, who plays Kevin on the show, is used to the passionate fans.

And with comments like those a constant thing, Hartley proved he is ready for anything.“We worked it out,” Hartley said. “But There was a window where I thought, ‘I didn't know if he had been drinking.’ I didn’t know, I kind of of had to take a step back like, ‘Are we going to do this here at the Super Bowl?’”The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.Check out what how fans reacted to the reveal of a mysterious photo on This Is Us:
