From a ‘Non-Surgical Boob Lift’ to $4 Perfume, Kristen Bell Pulls Back the Curtain on Her Emmys Prep
Kristen Bell looked like a poised and perfect flower princess at Sundays Emmys, but she wants us to think it was largely an illusion.

Before she even set foot on the carpet, which she slayed, the comedic actress tried to take the glamour out of the night in a series of Instagram posts. Now, the day after — when most of her peers are sharing pictures of their polished final looks, giving shout-outs to their pretty committees, and calling it a day — the 36-year-old, who is gearing up to star in NBC’s The Good Place, continues to pull the curtain back on the not-so-sparkly prep that went into getting her ready for the biggest night in TV.

Bell shared a behind-the-scenes photo from last night, in which she’s wearing her gorgeous Zuhair Murad couture dress and holding a roll of Leukoflex surgical tape. In the caption, the actress shares the inspired technique that went into her “non surgical boob lift.” The secret being: “Tape your nipple to your shoulder.” Twice. Ouch.

That was preceded by the shot, shared last night, which showed her makeup looking red carpet-ready, except for a sizable amount of tomato sauce, from preshow bites, hanging out on her chin. She joked that her makeup shading was “courtesy of pizza sauce.”

In this one, she’s trying to comment in the middle of a preshow conditioning treatment (not too easy with a sticker over her lips).
Bell didn’t let up on the red carpet, either. While being interviewed by E! News, she could have gushed about feeling like a princess in her pricey gown or rubbing elbows with the TV industry’s elite. Instead? She shared that the fragrance she was wearing, an amber oil, was something she picked up for $4 at Whole Foods.

As for the whereabouts of her husband, Dax Shepard, during the show, she reported that he had stayed home to watch their daughters… wearing his favorite cutoff jeans and tank top. Those two just can’t stop keeping it real.
