'Fox & Friends' holds on-air wedding ceremony and people have thoughts

A young couple was married live on the air on Thursday’s Fox & Friends as part of the show’s Valentine’s Day celebrations, and viewers were quick to weigh in on the broadcasted nuptials.

Former Air Force medic Priscilla Pazmino and current New Jersey police officer Joseph Muller Jr. took part in a wedding ceremony performed by wedding officiant Christopher Shelley. Pazmino’s two young children served as ring bearer and flower girl.

“Everyone knows that all the best marriages begin on Fox & Friends on a Thursday morning,” Shelley said to open the proceedings. “You will prove all that to be true.”

Pazmino’s dress was donated by Camden County, New Jersey after a wedding dress store shut down and the county was asked to donate the remaining dresses to military families.

Unfortunately a few sweet moments seemed to get overshadowed by things like Pazmino stepping on her dress while she walked, a host calling a child the wrong name, the rings getting stuck in the ring bearer’s pants, a ring later being dropped into the flower basket by accident, occasional out-of-place commentary from Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade and awkward silences. And it made for a lot of criticism on Twitter.

But there were others who saw the love in it all and enjoyed the ceremony, especially the fact that Pazmino’s children were involved.

So whether or not people enjoyed the event, not many couples out there will be able to tell the tale of their Valentine’s Day wedding on Fox News.

“On behalf of Fox & Friends, and me and the entire viewing audience,” Shelley concluded. “I pronounce you well on your way to a long happy marriage.”
