FloydFest to debut new disc golf course at 2024 festival

CHECK, Va. (WFXR) — The FloydFest festival is just months away and organizers are lining up their outdoor activities.

To add a spark to the list, organizers announced that a new disc golf course is joining the fun. The course was designed by Innova Discs and is set to make its debut at the 2024 festival. At 9 a.m. on July 24, explorers can participate in “tournament tee” times.

There will be categories for beginners, experienced, juniors, and women and men. For five days, the FloydFest DGC will be free, and offer two opportunities to take on organized plays: the Disc Glow Round on July 25 and the Innova Disc Gold Tournament on July 27.

Organizers say top finishers will win FloydFest and Innova prizes.

The Innova Disc Golf Course joins a list of outdoor adventures for enthusiasts to join at the festival. This includes craft workshops, several hiking trails, the 5K running trail, geocaching, and more.
