Flock to Rock: Nearly 30K fill the field for Rock The Country

Apr. 21—COALTON — Rock The Country, featuring about a dozen acts over two days in Boyd County, drew nearly 30,000 people near the Boyd County Fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday.

The festival was the second of a seven-town tour.

Jason Aldean was the headlining act on Friday night. Kid Rock was the headliner on Saturday.

Other featured acts included Nelly, Brantley Gilbert, Travis Tritt and Miranda Lambert.

According to a Rock The Country press release, the event "is about bringing a festival to the people and Ashland represents hard-working Americans and smalltown USA."
