Donald Trump's recent tirade on Truth Social targeted Jimmy Kimmel's hosting of the Oscars while wrongly attributing an Al Pacino moment to the comedian.

Kimmel caught wind of it and mocked the former president's error by retweeting a Joe Biden campaign message ridiculing Trump. Meanwhile, Truth Social's stocks have hit a three-month low amid declining value since its merger.

In a lengthy post, Trump claimed Kimmel suffered from "Trump Derangement Syndrome," writing: "Stupid Jimmy Kimmel, who still hasn't recovered from his horrendous performance and big ratings drop as Host of The Academy Awards, especially when he showed he suffered from TDS, commonly known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, to the entire World by reading on air my TRUTH about how bad a job he was doing that night, right before he stumbled through announcing the biggest award of all, "Picture of the Year."

He continued: "It was a CLASSIC CHOKE, one of the biggest ever in show business, and to top it off, he forgot to say the famous and mandatory line, "AND THE WINNER IS."

According to Trump, Kimmel's wife and management "begged him not to do it."

"DON'T READ HIS TRUTH, JIMMY, PLEASE DON'T DO THIS," Trump wrote, leading to what the ex-president described as Kimmel looking like a "fool" and becoming the "WORST HOST EVER OF THE ONCE VAUNTED ACADEMY AWARDS!"

During the Oscars, Kimmel did indeed read Trump's criticism onstage, but it was Pacino who announced the Best Picture winner as "Oppenheimer."

Responding to Trump's mix-up, Kimmel shared a screenshot of the rant on X with the caption, "In fairness to our former President, many stable geniuses confuse me with Al Pacino."

Users in the comments also pointed out Trump's error, with one hilariously noting, "He thinks you (the host) and Al (the presenter) are somehow the same person!? This post of his is crazier than usual!"

Another person commented on Trump's legal matters, writing: "Ironically, heading to court this morning on his mind was [Jimmy Kimmel's] classic Oscar line-up. [Trump!] Isn't it past your jail time?"

"Calling someone else stupid on the way to court, as a defendant, is peak comedy for me," a third user noted.

To drive home his jest, Kimmel also retweeted a Biden campaign message mocking Trump's post, calling it a "feeble and confused error-riddled rant."

Trump's latest social media outburst comes as his social platform, Truth Social, continues on a rough patch, with its shares plummeting to a three-month low.

The company's stock value has been on a decline since its merger with Digital World Acquisition Corp. earlier this year.

Initially, the company's stock surged above $78 upon its market debut, closing at $57.99 and boasting an $11 billion valuation. However, recent data from Google Finance shows each share now valued at $22.84, the lowest since January 16.

Speaking to Newsweek, political science professor Todd Landman noted that Truth Social needs to attract more users and advertisers to stabilize its value.

"The market will need to see a diversification of services, an expansion of users, and a much larger number of advertisers before it sees any gains on its value," he said.

His Criminal Trial Is Reportedly Affecting His Truth Social's Stocks

Landman further noted: "It would appear that the stock will remain quite volatile, a circumstance that is helped by his considerable civil liability and the start of his criminal trial in Manhattan this week.

The company was set up to rival other platforms, particularly X (formerly Twitter), but it has not attracted many users.

It recently announced a new streaming service with the promise of TV content, but this has not yet had a positive impact.

"Should Mr. Trump seek to sell some or all of his shares, he will not be able to do so until September—which, given current events, is a very long time," Landman added.

The future of Truth Social is still uncertain, with Trump's looming legal challenges compounding. The first seven jurors for his hush money trial were recently chosen.

Delving into the jury pool's social media posts, political affiliations, and personal backgrounds, lawyers meticulously selected panelists, including an IT worker, an English teacher, an oncology nurse, a sales professional, a software engineer, and two lawyers.

With eleven more jurors to be sworn in, the trial marks a pivotal moment for Trump, who sought to delay proceedings until after the election. He has since portrayed himself as a victim of a biased justice system.

The trial's outcome, which is one of Trump's numerous legal battles, could also significantly impact his bid for the presidency against Joe Biden.
