February Fun: Dozens of Beaver Valley & Pittsburgh events ready to entertain you

Leap into the 29 days of February this year, confidently knowing there's plenty of fun to be found locally.

To help you pick a good time in the Beaver Valley and a bit beyond, here's our February Fun Calendar:

Feb. 1

House of Pop: Rhythm of the '90s, 7 p.m., MainStage Theater at the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, Midland. The Fort Pitt Museum, Point State Park, Pittsburgh, re-opens after a month of reservations. Curators updated the exhibition lighting, installed new objects to the second-floor galleries and cleaned the museum’s iconic diorama that depicts 18th-century Pittsburgh. heinzhistorycenter.org.

Hearts & Healing, a collection of hand-cut paper hearts symbolizing love, growth, and renewal at UPMC Jameson, New Castle, gets a free public reception from 5-7 p.m. Done in conjunction with The Hoyt, the featured artist is Pittsburgh's Tiffany Budzisz, and the exhibit runs through April 18.

Feb. 2

Winter Festival begins 6 p.m. at Mary, Queen of Saints Parish, St. John The Baptist Pastoral Center, 1501 Virginia Ave., Monaca. Includes homecooked meals, carnival games, children's bounce house and over 20 vendors. Continues Feb. 3-4.

Feb. 3
