Fans applaud Amy Schumer for 'showing the real side of pregnancy' after she posts vomiting video

Amy Schumer may be in a league of her own in getting real about the not-so-beautiful moments of pregnancy.

The comedian, 37, took to Instagram on Saturday to post a stomach-churning video of herself “throwing up in a public bathroom.”

“Deep in my second trimester and all i can say is nope!” she captioned the post. “Yesterday i did a show 90 minutes later.”

In the video, Schumer has her hair pulled back as she steadies herself to sit near the toilet.

The I Feel Pretty star, who was hospitalized in November for hyperemesis gravidarumwhich is severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy — has been candid about the complication she faces. Many of her fans are praising her for showing a side of impending motherhood that not everyone feels comfortable sharing.

“It’s super brave of you to show this and talk about it! No one talks about this enough or shows this side of it,” one commenter wrote.

“Thank you for showing the real side of pregnancy! All instagram shows is #blessed #momstobe with perfect hair and great camera angles,” one person wrote.

“Keeping it real with Amy. I admire your courage of posting the real you,” another added.

“Always brave to bring attention to serious health problems. Thanks, Amy,” one said.

Some wanted to let Schumer know about the trials and tribulations they experienced, or are experiencing, with their own pregnancies.

“Yup. Been there. All nine (ten) months. The worst. Pro-tip: always wear black pants. Once I was a little bigger I would pee my pants while puking. It’s a real time saver,” an honest fan shared.

“I used to carry ziplocks and vomit while driving,” another added. “I feel your pain.”

“I had to go on medication my whole second pregnancy because I couldn’t stop throwing up. Hang in there!” a fellow mother added.

However, not everyone was jazzed with the nauseating content hitting their Instagram feeds.

“Some things should be kept personal. Pregnancy is hard but, it is beautiful too,” one wrote.

“Too much information,” another added.

Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, went public with her pregnancy in October, sharing the news on Instagram mixed in with endorsements of Democratic candidates ahead of the midterms.

Fellow comedian Chelsea Handler, however, reminded her of a conversation the two shared.

“I told you not that have kids!” she wrote, to which Schumer replied, “You did!!!”
