Family of 3 sells house to pay off debt, moves into stunning ‘home on wheels’ RV
A family of three is making waves on TikTok for their stunningly spacious RV and their inspiring road-tripping lifestyle.
Mom Kay (@themomtrotter) calls herself a “digital nomad” and documents her family’s adventures across her social media accounts.
Recently, she gave a home tour of the family’s gorgeous Fifth Wheel RV, and TikTokers were shocked by how spacious and charming it was.

As Kay explains across her social media, the family of three sold their home over a year ago to help pay down their debt (over $200,000).
They then purchased an RV — a 2006 Fleetwood Tioga Class C — on Facebook Marketplace for $14,000 and renovated it. “That’s all the money we had at the time, so we didn’t have much of a choice,” Kay explained in an Instagram post.
According to the parents, they did this because they wanted to live debt-free and create generational wealth for their 8-year-old son, Aiden. They also wanted to travel the U.S. and spend more time together. “We took a leap of faith with this one, and it has really paid off,” wrote Kay.
After a year of full-time RVing, Kay and her family realized how much they loved the RV life, so they decided not to go back to a “brick and mortar” home.
Since then, they’ve recently upgraded to a Fifth Wheel RV, where they “roadschool” Aiden, document their journey and create content for their organization @blackkidsdotravel.

Over 16,000 TikTokers shared their reactions to Kay’s RV tour in the comments.
